Being part of the Rescue Service Storgöteborg means being part of something bigger than yourself.
We see it as a privilege to be someone others can rely on. Someone who never gives up, who is always ready to act. We are a brave organization that takes care of each other. We are the first to step in to solve the problem and the last to leave to secure the area. Ultimately, everything we do is about creating a safer society. This commitment shapes our entire organization and creates an unmatched feeling of being needed.
Description
As a digitalization development leader, you play a central role in the digital development of the Rescue Service Storgöteborg. You work closely with the operations to understand their needs and transform them into effective digital solutions. In this role, you identify, develop, and implement digital initiatives with a focus on the user and the organization's goals. Your assignment is dynamic and evolves over time, but the core is about driving operational change and ensuring that the opportunities of digitalization are utilized. As a digitalization development leader, you will investigate, communicate, and prepare cases, as well as visualize and streamline operational processes.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and coordinate complex development assignments and projects from idea to implementation
- Actively contribute to the organization's strategic work within digitalization and follow up and develop governing documents in the area
- Support the organization in streamlining and facilitating work using digital solutions
- Participate in requirement specification, procurement, and implementation of new systems and digital services
- Engage in structured monitoring of the digitalization landscape.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you are collaborative, responsible, and development-oriented. You have the ability to see the big picture, can drive change, create engagement, and translate the organization's needs into digital solutions while balancing technology with the users' perspective.
We are looking for someone who has
- Relevant post-secondary education in IT, systems science, digitalization, or equivalent
- Experience in business development supported by digitalization and leading digitalization projects from needs analysis to implementation
- Good understanding of process mapping, solution architecture, and how digital solutions are implemented in practice
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with various stakeholders
It is meritorious if you have
- Knowledge of system architecture, information security, and GDPR
- Experience with modern digital platforms and tools, such as M365, AI solutions, or IoT
- Experience from the public sector
What we offer you
With us, you will work in an organization with a strong community engagement, (relatively) short decision-making paths, and a strong focus on development. You will be part of a modern rescue service where knowledge, collaboration, and innovation are at the center.
- Flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work
- Two hours of training during work hours per week
- Good opportunities for development, both as an individual and together with colleagues
- Central workplace at the fire station in Gårda, with the possibility to work at other stations in the association
Here you can grow in your professional role while contributing to a safer society. Does this sound interesting? Don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions; we look forward to reading your application!
Additional Information
We place great importance on personal suitability and conduct interviews on an ongoing basis. Your employment will include military placement at the Rescue Service with general service obligation, which means you are obliged to serve in the event of heightened readiness or war. Before employment, alcohol and drug tests, as well as psychological tests, will be conducted according to the organization's policy and in collaboration with our occupational health service.
Interviews are expected to take place in January during weeks 3 and 4.
